OTTAWA – With recent rainfall in some parts of LaSalle County and dryness in others has left some farmers hurting. According to LaSalle County Farm Bureau President David Isermann, South and East parts of LaSalle County experienced more damage to crops due to dry weather. However, North and West parts were hit with more rain, which may have not affected the crop much, due to its maturity. Isermann says overall, the County is ahead of schedule, despite losing a week due to rain delays. Last year, LaSalle County yielded an average of over 200 bushels per acre of corn.
