OTTAWA – LaSalle County Board Chairman Jim Olson will be running for a full term next year. Olson, formerly the LaSalle County Circuit Clerk, was appointed as chairman in February after Jerry Hicks’ announcement to step down. Olson says he’s shown his ability to deal with tough decisions in guiding the county in a path of fiscal responsibility. He says he has what it takes to keep the county’s tax levy flat as long as possible. Olson has served on various publicly elected board for the past 24 years. Olson’s current position as chairman is up for re-election in November.
