MENDOTA – There will not be rides or the Sunday parade, but some traditions of the Mendota Sweet Corn Festival will carry on during the pandemic. Wednesday morning the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the queen and mini pageant will be held on Friday, August 7th and streamed online by WGLC. Sweet corn will still be available for purchase, as will 50/50 tickets. The famous Sweet Corn Festival T-Shirts will also be available beginning July 10th. The Mendota Chamber also looks forward to the summer of 2021, when the Sweet Corn Festival will make its return to the streets of Mendota.
