UTICA – Authorities say the driver of the bus that rolled onto its side on Thursday morning was avoiding an animal in the roadway when she allegedly lost control of the vehicle. Three children and the driver, a 51-year-old woman were treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. The driver for the Deer Park School was ticketed for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. The crash remains under investigation by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office.
