Older generations pushed back on Twitter to Millennials and gave them examples of things that they say that didn’t make sense to them.
- “Ditto.”
- “So I did a thing” and the “thing” is something like: They bought a desk.
- “Cuteness overload.”
- “I was ‘today years old’ when I learned [XYZ].” And it’s usually something silly like, “I was today years old when I realized that when someone says ‘hold your horses’ they’re telling me to be stable.”
- “Wait” before EVERY random revelation.
- Saying how people “win” things like “win the internet,” or “win TikTok.”
- “Booty.”
- “You must be fun at parties.”
- Saying “right” every 10 words when explaining something.
- “Mood.”
- “Oof.”
- Saying “And go!” when they ask for recommendations on anything.
- “Adulting.”
- Saying “I’m sorry but . . .” followed by something completely normal. Like, “I’m sorry but why is this pizza so freaking delicious???”
