DeKalb – A man has been arrested and and charged in connection with a drug overdose death at the I-88 oasis in DeKalb. According to Illinois State Police, 28 year old Nicholas J. Hessling, of Montgomery, Illinois was found dead at the convenience store bathroom at the Oasis back on December 10th. Police say a toxicology report concluded the cause of death was a drug overdose with a high concentration of fentanyl. Subsequently, State Police investigators say they identified 31 year old Victor D. Peters, of Aurora, as the seller of the fentanyl laced drug. Police say Peters was arrested this past Friday at his Aurora residence and charged with one count of drug induced homicide, a Class X Felony.
