OGLESBY – At the Illinois Valley Community College board meeting Thursday a contract was awarded for the demolition of the old barn south of the Oglesby campus. S&K Excavating & Trucking of Newark bid $50,750 for the job and is expected to start this fall. They plan on salvaging any useable wood for future agriculture projects. Tearing down the barn will make way for the new building for ag program implements.
