PEORIA – OSF HealthCare is raising minimum wage to $12 dollars for its workers, effective February 24th. According to OSF HealthCare’s CEO Bob Sehring, many service workers have fallen behind because minimum wage across the country has not kept up. More than 1,100 Mission Partners will see pay increase of $2 per hour. The majority of those who will benefit from the wage increase serve in food service, housekeeping, gift shops, or are members of the guest services team. The increase is anticipated to have an approximate $1.5 million impact to the Ministry. OSF HealthCare employs nearly 21,000 employees in 126 locations, including Streator, Mendota and Ottawa.
