The Annual National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive will be conducted Saturday, May 11th.
LaSalle, Peru, and Oglesby letter carriers are asking residents to place non-perishable food items by their mailbox, no glass please. Carriers will pick up the food items when they deliver mail and take them to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry where volunteers will help unload the trucks and sort the items.
This is a very important food drive for the pantry. Donations usually decrease over the summer months, but the need increases. Families really struggle this time of year.
