MORRIS – Grundy County authorities are investigating 3 separate weekend deaths – an apparent overdose, a man struck by a train, and a motorcycle crash. Grundy County Coroner John Callahan says Friday evening a Minooka man found his 42 year-old wife unresponsive in their home. Preliminary investigation indicates possible overdose of cocaine or heroin based on evidence at the scene. Officials say that Saturday morning shortly before 7, a man identified as Thomas P. Karlin, of Morris, was struck by a train in Morris. Karlin was apparently crossing the tracks in an open area east of the Grant Street crossing when he was struck by a westbound train. Callahan’s Office, Morris Police, and CSX railroad police are investigating. And Sunday morning about 3:30, Coroner Callahan says that 41 year-old Chad M. Cramer of South Wilmington was killed when his motorcycle left the roadway at a curve and traveled into a ditch.
