IDPH reports 1,834 new COVID-19 cases

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois saw 1,834 new COVID-19 cases announced on Thursday, with 24 more confirmed deaths. This makes 200,427 total confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic in the state, along with 7,696 deaths. As of Wednesday, the preliminary seven-day positivity rate for cases is 4% for the state.
