OTTAWA – LaSalle County’s 7-day coronavirus fatality average is the lowest it’s been since October. According to the LaSalle County Health Department’s COVID-19 weekly update and Studstill Media data, this week, the county reported a single coronavirus-related death-bringing down the 7-day death average to .1%. According to data, the county has not experienced such a low fatality rate since late October, and compared to positive COVID-19 case averages back then, the county is reporting fewer now at 19.6%. It total, 137 COVID-19 cases were reported this week in LaSalle County.
