LaSalle-Peru Township High School is proud to announce that sophomore Lauren Klein is the recipient of the Jostens Renaissance National Student of the Month Award for May 2019. The Jostens Renaissance National Student of the Month recognition is for a deserving student who has made an impact within their school or community through Jostens Renaissance.
Jostens Renaissance is a program that focuses on recognizing students and staff. The core of the program revolves around the five R’s: what you Respect, Reward, Recognize, and Reinforce = Results.
Lauren was selected based on her exceptional dedication and commitment to the values of LPHS and Jostens Renaissance. She has led the efforts to ensure that the climate and culture within the building is focused around the success of all students and staff. As her nomination from counselor and Renaissance Coordinator Andrea Henry stated, “Through her actions, Lauren is able to reinforce Renaissance ideals in her daily life. Being a Renaissance leader, she embodies a number of character traits that many strive to attain throughout their lives. She is kind, giving, and inclusive, donating her time to causes such as the Special Olympics Polar Plunge. Lauren is an exceptionally well-rounded young person, earning top grades while balancing being a student athlete and Renaissance leader. Currently, she is the youngest member of our Renaissance Leadership Team, a team reserved for those who go the extra mile and lead by example.”
