PERU – On Saturday the annual Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon was held in Peru. 8 teams of 5 bowlers pledged support to Junior Achievement programs in the area. The JA Bowl-A-Thon is the organization’s largest fundraiser taking place in 10 communities throughout the area in February and March. The event is estimated to raise more than $200,000 to help support JA learning experiences offered in local schools. Over $4200 was raised over the weekend by teams from Heartland Bank & Trust, Corteva Agriscience, American Nickeloid and Central Bank of Illinois. Junior Achievement teaches students the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and fiscal choices.
